TITRA has donated 50 reflective vests to Kanengo Police Station as part of its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility.
The donation was officially presented on November 16, 2024, by a team of six TITRA staff members led by Mr. Chikondi Chunga. The initiative comes at a crucial time as law enforcement prepares to enhance security operations ahead of the Christmas festive season.
Inspector Chirombo expressed sincere appreciation for the donation, noting that the reflective vests will play a vital role in improving visibility and safety for officers on duty, particularly during high-traffic periods.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the station, Senior Superintendent Mackenzie Chigumula emphasized that TITRA’s gesture reflects a strong commitment to the welfare and safety of the Lilongwe community.
Speaking on behalf of TITRA, Miss Michelle Matengula highlighted the organization’s mission to empower communities through entrepreneurship and microfinance services. She acknowledged the essential role the police play in maintaining a secure environment for both TITRA’s operations and its clients.
“This donation is a small token of our appreciation for the dedication and service provided by the police,” she said.
This initiative underscores TITRA’s broader commitment to supporting community development beyond its core business activities.
